The day of my daughter’s life-flight to Seattle, I was a complete wreck. Though she and my wife were scheduled to go in a plane and I knew I needed to follow them, I struggled to process how to book a flight, where to stay, how to bring my son, etc. My network helped me book a flight, rent a hotel room, get access to a car, and make sure my son and I were ready for a long stay in Seattle. We all will do anything necessary to give our kids the best possible care and treatment when they’re dealing with scary diagnosis. In our case with our son Micah, that meant we needed to travel to Seattle Children’s Hospital more than once on relatively short notice.
